The Role
Really enjoyed the people I worked with at RBC. I had opportunity learn and work with different desks on the trading floor and received constant feedback.
RBC has a very supportive work environment and you receive constant feedback. I am still in contact with several colleagues from the summer who are checking in on my progress with the graduate program.
As interns, we received weekly tutorials in addition to a week-long introductory course.
At my last job, I worked at a start-up and was given lots of responsibility from day 1. At RBC, you have opportunity to learn and observe as well as preform daily tasks.
On the Base Metals desk, I was able to take-over some duties to compensate for those who were away on holiday.
Having experienced and observed what happens on a trading floor, I have a much better understanding of financial markets which I have incorporated into my dissertation.
The Company
I really enjoyed getting to know my colleagues throughout the summer.
RBC is growing and are constantly making improvements to their internship program and new jobs we created during the spring that weren't initially advertised.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing- RBC is my first choice.
The Culture
Great social scene!
The City is not the cheapest area for drink after work but I was paid enough that it wasn't an issue.
RBC hosted several sporting events which interns were invited to throughout the summer.
