The Role
I prefer student life
I was given a lot of responsibility and the work I did was appreciated.
There was little support from my manager at first because it was a very busy time and the team was very large. There was a restructure and the new system has allowed more one to one time with my team leader and guidance on guidance with work load and prioritisation.
Each day varies but it's best to be busy - makes the days go quicker.
I have been involved in a large amount of coordination of teams and activities, produced official documents for the company, managed a large project and given training to others.
There has been little learning that directly relates to my degree, however a large amount of training, skill development and practise for being in a workplace environment and working with other people.
The Company
People work hard and are very conscienscious but a lot of fun.
It would have been useful to have more information before I started on things like what would happen on my first day and what the job would involve.
I've been put on a lot of training courses and been pushed to acheive as much as possible.
Flexi Time
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I would not want a career in the same role but other areas of the company are potentially very exciting. I was recommended for grad scheme during my placement.
The Culture
There were 14 students at my site with a lot of social events and some conflicts. Colleagues were a lot of fun and many events were organised for outside work hours.
Not as good as the North (living in Worthing, West Sussex) but compared to London, very very cheap.
Not great in Worthing but close to Brighton where its very good
