  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Good experience, but it got very boring within a few months.

  • Feel like I contributed to the company somewhat.

  • Plenty of support, though my supervisor wasn't very familiar with some of the experiments I was doing.

  • Quite busy, sometimes found it difficult to keep on top of work but in general I was given the right amount of work.

  • Given responsibility for the assay I was running, but was heavily managed

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Will help me get onto a PhD programme and will help a lot with final year. Learned a lot of lab skills and improved my communication skills.

  • Lots of cakes but pretty quiet.

  • The placement felt well organised.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Was not willing to let me try experiments beyond plate-based assays. Spent the whole time doing one assay pretty much. I feel I stopped learning much after the first 4-5 months.

  • Pretty good social scene

  • Decent cost. Not too expensive.

  • 1 club. Few bars / pubs.
