The Role
Thrown in the deep end - great for confidence but not always enjoyable.
Felt as a respected member of the team. Given real projects to manage from R&D.
All the support needed through projects and PDP development. Friendly and approachable colleagues.
During times of heavy development I was very busy and often stayed late, but when projects are not in development stages I could catch up on PDP or training.
Given real projects to manage from R&D. Real deadlines and launches under your control.
Many transferable skills learnt and knowledge of the field. Confidence, time management and prioritization were the best skills i developed.
The Company
Hot desking made working more social. Always cake and treats in the office!
Mostly fine, but not all occasions were set up for students.
Completed loads of online training, as well as attending presentations, away days and gained certificates.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Sole Ribena and Lucozade. Much remaining R&D is going to Singapore. Too many other students to compete with for them to guarantee you a job after university.
The Culture
Regular work drinks with paid bar tabs, always out with other placement students. Great Xmas party.
Socialising was expensive in London but i lived at home which saved some costs.
Its London! Expensive but never ending.
Attended several conferences, training days, inspiration days etc. Probably out the office at least once a week or fortnight.
