The Role
I did enjoy my placement, It was just unfortunate that work seemed slow at times.
neither here or there if im completly honest.
Help is given if its needed, however not alway readily availble.
The start of my placement year was fab, busy, exciting and full of oppertunities. The second half, not so much - work seemed to run out for me and no matter how much I asked nothing was passed my way. Understandably a major project I was working on was cancelled, yet there seemed to be nothing else that I could become invloved in or that other staff would want me to be included in.
I feel like I could have been given a bit more resposibility and it would have been nice to have been trained to work on a specific area.
I value everything i did learn here, and Id like to think i will continue to use all the skills i learnt.
The Company
quiet. People kept themselves to themselves.
Poorly organised. Mainly on my universitys behalf, however It would have been nice to have everything in place when i started rather than in drips and drabs along the way.
GSK were pretty good when it comes to the standard training. My department however didnt seem to want to invest in specalist training for me.

I would like to comeback, to see what i could become trained up in. Overall I enjoyed being at GSK.
The Culture
Nothing to do in Stevenage! We did all socialise together, but struggled with nightlife, dinners etc.
Pretty average id say. Plenty of places to eat, cinema, bowling... housing was affordable.
1 club - not worth going to. I advise paying the extra and going into london.
Not really... Stevenage seemed isolated.
