The Role
All-round an amazing experience, with many learning opportunities, fun things to get involved in and a great company to work for!
Very valued, being an active member of department.
Support was always on hand and whenever you needed help or advice, staff would be there.
There was always a project to get on with, but a good balance of work, fun and personal development.
My role being very diverse meant I worked on a wide range of projects facing off to multiple areas of the business. I was given substantial responsibility, with stakeholders often being higher management teams.
My placement was full of opportunity and daily challenges. I was trained in multiple aspects of problem solving/root cause analysis which has aided me considerably both in my role and daily life, giving me a systematic approach to dealing with my work.
The Company
Often relaxed and we always had a laugh.
Good organisation, logistics and training plan.
Training was always available whether in the form of on-line courses or instructor led.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
Opportunities are available with the GSK Future Leaders Programme and some direct-entry roles are available. Both very appealing.
The Culture
Often a weekly or bi-weekly event organised amongst students. There was always something going on.
London is quite expensive
Never dull.
Always something to get involved in.
