The Role
Not what I thought it was going to be at all. Lots of admin/business work.
Main project made it quite difficult to connect with team as I felt like I was mostly getting in the way of what they wanted.
My supervisor was fantastic in general; a really great person.
Fairly busy but not enough to be fully engaging, or to the extent where I didn't need to do anything.
Good deal of responsibility -- mainly with team support.
Perhaps useful "business" skills but not much else. Mostly seemed like common sense.
The Company
My team liked to have a good laugh!
You are pretty much left to it and not much else. Manager didn't know I was starting until a week before. No support for the more technical interns whatsoever.
Lots of free training courses and qualifications.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
Not interested whatsoever after seeing what it's like.
The Culture
Southern England costs an absolute fortune to do anything.
People would ask for help for things all the time. Fair amount of opportunities.
