The Role
The company was a bit of a let down in terms of quality of employee's and business acumen.
Varied from areas of the business. Microsoft is generally supportive of the intern process and most employees are happy to give up their time to answer questions etc.
My manager was fantastic, always supportive and provide advice and guidance where needed.
The role varied greatly throughout the year
I was given responsibility for my area of the business.
My general IT skills improved over the course of the year.
The Company
Mainly dull, but by cooperate standards pretty open and friendly.
The University Staffing Team seemed to disappear between August and June.
There were a couple of training events which helped me preform my role.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Working from home
I have no desire to work for Microsoft again.
The Culture
From what I hear there was.
Reading is pretty standard in terms of living costs.
Reading can be expensive at weekends.
there're are numerous sports clubs to get involved with.
