About You
Everyone was very friendly and helpful, the work was interesting and the presentations were insightful.
I was given proper work to do, and people took time to explain concepts and issues despite being really busy, so you felt as though they wanted you to learn and follow along with the work they were doing.
Not only my own trainee buddy and supervisor took an interest in me; we were given work from several members in the department, all of whom were happy to help with any difficulties or answer any questions.
In two short weeks I learnt a lot about each of the departments I was working in.
The Company
We were kept busy, with presentations and with work within our departments. Everything was timetabled, we always knew exactly where we were supposed to be.
The work was fun, the socials were fun, and you looked forward to coming in every day.
There was a lot of time taken out of people's schedules to explain and go over our work and to answer general questions.
We were given work that trainees were expected to do- not only administrative tasks, but I did some drafting and some research.
We spent a lot of time at company events and presentations, as long as casual social events.
You were able to understand exactly what it is that a lawyer does; solid evidence to base a decision on.
Everything Else
paid weekly
We had social events with the partners and associates, but even more generally if they ran into you they were happy to stop and have a chat.
In two weeks we managed to fit a lot in.
There were events that had been previously organised that we were invited to join.
Absolutely; you learn a lot, you have a lot of fun, and you spend two weeks in a friendly work environment.
