  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • The vacation scheme was fantastic and would highly recommend it to anyone considering applying.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?

    • The department, and the firm generally, were incredibly warm and welcoming. I was given plenty of tasks to assist fee-earners in their role and they were vocal when they appreciated a piece of work.

    • Each member of my department (who gave me work) took the time to explain matters to me and their door was always open if I had a query or wanted to discuss the work I had produced.

    • The scheme definitely gave an accurate insight into what is required in the role and the different skills which will assist in the future.

    • The scheme was very well structured and definitely found the correct balance between all the different elemnts - time in the department, assessments, socials, talks.

    • The atmosphere was great, and everyone was really personable and down-to-earth!

    • The department really took the time to explain matters to me and everyone was really helpful. The team were happy to answer my queries both about the work and about the firm or TC generally.

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?

    • Very helpful, I was sat amongst a team for 5 days (on and off) and was able to see how the team operates, how much everyone gets on with each other and supports each other.

    • I was given a set wage for the week.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • More so at the organised socials when other trainees attended.

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?

    • The trainees were very socialable and we had informal welcome drinks on the first night. The main social was a pool-tournamenr which was great fun and a fantastic way to be able to mingle with everyone rather than sticking in a group.

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?

    • I would 100% recommend the vacation scheme to a friend or to anyone. The scheme is the best insight you will get about the firm, the people, the work and the training contract.
