About You
Savills is a giant in the property industry, and you can really feel that when your here. Very impressive office and work rate.
There were times when i didnt feel values, as the staff were so busy that they couldnt spend much time with us.
The work wasnt particularly difficult, so not much support was needed.
The work was fairly repetative, as we are unqualified, and therefore only aboe to complete basic tasks, so it hasnt really aided my degree
The Company
Due to it being a very busy month for the employees (lots of deals happening), it did feel at times like we were inconveniencing our directors, asking them to give us work, when they really didnt have much for us to do.
Atmosphere here is very good generally, you get the odd person who can be abit rude, or maybe doesnt have time for you as your just a "summer scheme student", but overall, everyone os very friendly and welcoming
Training wasnt really necessary for the level of work that we were doing, so it was generally just common sense, and a bit of guidance.
The office is set up so that everyone sits together inan open space, so you really get a feel for what its like for every member, from low level assistant, to top level directors.
You get a very good feel for what the company is about, and how they do business.
Very valuable. Although the work was boring at times, it is always improtant to make the best impression, and prove that you can do the boring things well, in which case you will be given more responsibility.
Everything Else
£1000 for a month
Open office so easy to meet other people. Need to be very outgoing
If you are chatty and confident, they will notice you..
Work was so intense that there were few opportunities to go out with the team.
Yes. As long as you bear in mind that you are there for a reason, not to have fun or go out on client lunch's every day, but to impress the people who matter, and try to secure a grad position for after uni.
