About You
The vacation scheme is as much aimed at helping you get to know the firm as the firm getting a good assessment of you.
I was impressed with the effort taken by everyone, from trainee to partner, to make me feel welcome
You get as much support as you ask for
You get real work and are treated like a trainee for these purposes
The Company
We were given a balance of presentations about the firm, skills sessions and real work
I was in a busy department but this also meant team drinks were appreciated!
Group skills sessions were given and partners took time out of their day to meet with me
Two weeks is never going to be enough to know a firm fully but it is a good start...
Sitting in one team for the duration is good on some levels but it is enitrely possible that other teams have a different culture
To the extent that I have already decided I want to be a commercial solicitor, this confirmed it
Everything Else
weekly rate
two socials where trainees were invited and an invite to team drinks
Cocktail making class!
Only the CSR, pro bono and charity work
I honestly feel like I have been treated as a trainee would
