About You
The practice presentations were useful, the work was high quality, and the socials were fun.
The people I spoke to seemed genuinely interested in me and my career plans.
My trainee buddy and supervisor were both very happy to give me feedback on my work.
The work I did at the firm will be useful to discuss at interviews and was the basis of one of the firm's training contract interviews.
The Company
Having the presentations in the mornings every day meant you didn't have too many days filled with just presentations and broke things up quite well.
The trainees who organised the socials were really friendly and made sure everyone was having a good time.
The practice presentations helped with this as they seemed quite honest. People were also happy to speak about their experiences and what they liked/disliked about working there.
As above.
Everything Else
There were good opportunities for networking, not in the practice group where I worked but organised more formally for the placement as a whole, and this was useful.
As above.
We were invited to attend a softball game but it was cancelled. There were no other extra-curricular activities that weren't specially organised for the placement.
If you're interested in working at the firm or want to do a placement at a friendly firm that's growing in London, this is a positive experience.
