  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I found the insight extremely enjoyable as it provided me with a true insight into the firm's practice areas and culture. The placement definitely consolidated my desire to work at CMS Cameron McKenna.

    • Due to the level of responsibility I was given and the variety of tasks with which I was able to assist, I felt extremely valued during the placement.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?

    • I received a great deal of guidance and support from all members of the firm during my vacation scheme. I was especially impressed with the support offered by my supervisor and trainee buddy. They were always happy to advise and assist me, regardless of how busy they happened to be.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I have learnt how to communicate technical, legal information in an accessible manner and how to balance competing priorities. These are skills which will definitely assist me in the future.

    • The insight was extremely well-structured as there was a good balance of departmental work, presentations and group meetings.

    • The atmosphere was friendly, enthusiastic and vibrant throughout the whole of the fortnight.

    • The firm invested heavily in terms of personal training and development as there were daily talks about the various practice areas in the firm and several skills sessions.

    • The vacation scheme was extremely useful in that it provided a true insight into the nature of the firm, its atmosphere and working practices.
