The Role
I had such an enjoyable month that has most definitely confimed my desire to pursue a career as a surveyor.
It took a little while to really get 'accepted' into the team but now it is really good fun and I feel like a real member of the team
The support was endless and the responses I received from members of staff when I had a query were really useful and also they responded very quickly which was helpful!
I have been quite busy. I normally only have one project on at a time but am normally given something else to do within the next couple of hours. If I found I had nothing to do there was enough private research available to me on the Savills website and from slide shouws that were sent to me in my team.
Initially I was not given much responsibility which is completely understandable but by the end of my placement I was solely responsible for some jobs as my team members entrusted that I knew what I was doing and that I would complete the task to the high standard that Savills prides itself on.
Being able to put my university studies into practice will massively help me and hopefully will allow me to have a successful last year!
The Company
Always good fun in the office, work hard play hard mentality!
There were plenty of meetings/departmental overviews/lunches/socials that allowed us to meet as many people as possible and learn as much as possible about the business and surveying
The company invested a lot of time. The HR team always made a concious effort to remind us that they are there to help us whenever we need help/advice/more etc etc showing that they really want us to get as much out of the internship as we want to get out of it!
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Very! Fingers crossed!
The Culture
There was a really good group of students in June, it was really enjoyable and we all endeavoured to meet up after work as much as possible.
Fairly expensive but then again not to bad for London!
Very good fun.. too many blurry nights at Loop bar!
Activities outside of work were well organised by the HR team and also by the interns themselves. There were atleast 2 social events a week so we all got to know each other well.
