About You
The placement was a fantastic insight into the life of a solicitor at Taylor Wessing and everybody was extremely welcoming!
I was given work to assist solicitors advising real clients from the outset. I was given true responsibility despite the fact the placement only lasted for two weeks.
There was an 'open-door' policy and everyone felt comfortable asking both the graduate recruitment team and others within the firm about any queries they had.
I now truly understand the work solicitors do in practice, which will be invaluable for my future career path as a solicitor.
The Company
The organisation was extremely efficient and there was never a time any event felt unstructured.
All the solicitors and employees of Taylor Wessing made sure everyone felt welcome, it was a truly enjoyable placement.
I felt we were constantly being looked after and experiencing new aspects of the firm, in order to learn as much as possible about becoming a solicitor and Taylor Wessing as a firm.
We were given 'real work' so truly experienced life as a potential trainee of the firm.
There was an 'open-door' policy and I felt comfortable talking to anyone, from graduate recruitment to trainees to partners.
I greatly enjoyed the work I was given and am 100% certain this is the career path I want to pursue.
Everything Else
I was paid £250/week.
We had various social events, such as drinks, which enabled us to meet various partners, associates and trainees from different departments.
The events were organised well and gave us the opportunity to meet more people within the firm.
I had the opportunity to attend the Blackfriars Settlement which is one of the firms many pro bono opportunities.
The placement in general was a very enjoyable experience.
