About You
There isn't a minute left idle. Every attempt is made to help you make the most of your time at PwC.
I was highly valued and looked after. My efforts are acknowledged and there is feedback at every step.
For the non-assessed tasks, you do receive a lot of guidance on how to carry out the task and feedback regarding the performance of your group and everyone present.
The networking sessions really provide you with a lot of insight on how to plan your career. My degree studies wouldn't be very much affected by the insight but with regards to future qualifications and career path, I found out a lot of things google wouldn't be able to answer. Skills wise, I think I'm definitely stronger as a team player because you get to work in three different teams. I have probably enhanced my communication skills as well.
The Company
Everything is organised to the minute and it runs on time as well!
There is a strong contrast between the time spent on a task which is very focussed and the time spent networking and participating in the quiz. These are more relaxed, however there are Ice-breakers throughout the day to help everyone get to know each other.
They invest a lot on each individual and ensure you learn about the organisation, its people, and the work involved.
At the networking events, many people from various roles and at various levels provided insight in to what their daily work is like but also what their career path has been.
It was obvious from the mannerism of PwC employees that they had a very friendly culture as if they were a family.
There was a task designed to give you insight in to every field at PwC. Whichever task you performed better in would indicate your career path choice.
Everything Else
Everyday so many people made time to come and talk to us and discuss their careers with us.
Networking was 10/10 but with regards to socialising, the talent academy is only three days long thus only the first night has a fun and interactive quiz for the students to get to know each other.
You get to find out a lot about how PwC employees maintain a work-life balance.
If you want to know more about the organisation, then this is the best opportunity.
