The Role
Good people to work with. Good standards in place for making the work interesting from my point of view. Lots of good nights out and random punch fueled house parties.
Felt valued all the way through. Work was of importance and colleagues relied upon it.
Less than I expected but not in a bad way. They left me to get on with it and gave me ownership of tasks.
Either very busy or quiet enough to get on with all the stuff you couldn't when you were busy.
More than I expected. Allowed to own a project of testing and take something of a lead.
Accademic ability dropped somewhat but gained much experience in the field of work.
The Company
Quiet enough to get on with work but also people don't mind stopping for a chat for a minute if you're bored or to help you.
Very well. Higly rate the placement manager, [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions].
Attended several courses on the products and also for software training e.g. excel.
Company Parties/Events
Would be good but financial climate has hit hard and reduces attraction of joining in future.
The Culture
Yes, plenty of parties until everybody realised they had to pay to live as well as drink beer. Tapered somewhat after that.
Relatively cheap. Good accomodation with bills all in for £300-400pcm.
Not amazing but enjoyable after a few.
Quite a few. Higly recommend the monthly 'Treasure hunts'!!
