About You
Enjoyed it hugely. The people and challenges made it a superb event to attend.
All the staff knew our names and the partners spoke to us in a very personable manner.
The whole point of the Talent Academy was to improve all of our employability and we were afforded a huge amount of guidance and suppport to achieve this.
The ability to work in a team, communicate ideas with impact and empathy and present in front of senior people are all skills that will hold me well in the future.
The Company
It was structured supremely! We felt like we were busy the whole time because even in break times, we were networking. Very well structured.
The people attending the Talent Academy were a joy to be around. Everyone was very friendly and the staff always happy to help. This made the atmosphere so good.
They paid for all our travel, accomodation and food to give us an insight into how much they wanted to have us. It helped us to feel valued and we developed as characters because of it.
My understanding before the Talent Academy was ok before, but now I feel I fully understand what PwC is all about - from the different departments of PwC, to the day-to-day jobs that associates and partners do.
There was a large emphasis on explaining the different sectors of PwC and how they pull together as a firm. This helped me to understand where I would fit into all of this.
I feel fully inspired that I would like to work for PwC one day.
Everything Else
Travel, Acomodation, Food, and Drinks were all reimbursed.
In fact, there weren't just opportunities here and there, it was actively expected on the Talent Academy that we would network with everyone, stretching from our peers, to the Senior Partners.
Very good. PwC gave us all three drink tokens per night which was a nice touch, and helped to get people mingling around the bar area.
This is one part of the Talent Academy I was less impressed with. There was a large emphasis on what your work within the firm would be like, but outside of work was barely touched. I did, however, learn taht there is a good PwC football team - something I'd be very interested in joining.
The experience of the Talent Academy was something which has inspired me, and one I would recommend to all of my peers. Whether you get an internship out of it or not, the experience is invaluable and I am extremely grateful for that.
