The Role
The placement was good but some aspects were not perfect.
I felt I was valued by my colleagues but they never felt like family.
I was given quite alot of support
My work load varied some days I would be busy and other I wouldn't be, I was usually pretty busy but some tasks were boring.
I was given a moderate amount of responsibility, I was expected to manage my own projects therefore I was responsible for them.
I was given some training but I was also expected to pick up some things myself
The Company
An office is never fun.
I was well organised as there are alot of other placement students so they are used to supporting students
the firm invested time and resources in me.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
National Travel
International Travel
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
I have been offered a project to take back to uni.
The Culture
There quite a few alright people on placement, but Daventry would be an awful place to live if you didnt make any friends
Rent is reasonable but it depends on what part of the country you are from, living expense is ok.
there is one club which I wouldn't really recommend, Rugby isn't much better.
there are a few clubs and activities to do.
