The Role
This was the most enjoiable job I had so far. I worked as an intern in other companies where the environment and the job role were not as good as this.
I worked in a very friendly team and got plenti of help with my work. I ended up being good friends with my colleagues.
I had plenty of help from my managers and they were always available.
I worked on many projects but I did not have any urgent deadlines.
I got plenty of help with my work but it was down to me to ensure the work I do is correct.
I developed my professionall skills as well as my engineering knowledge and I will be doing my final year project in colaboration with the company.
The Company
There was always a very relaxed atmosphere in the department, with the ocasionall break for tea and a chat.
It was not really organised in any particular way. I spent my time doing the same type of work as everyone else in the team. Al the students were working in there speciffic teams without any particular placement scheem.
I feel I got plenty of information and support and I attended many training sessions. I am also offered a bursary from the company if I decide to do my final year project in colaboration with the company.
Flexi Time
Financial Bonus
Upon graduation I will be looking for other jobs, but I would be happy if I get offered a permanent position with Cummins in the analysis department.
The Culture
There are pub nights, footbal matches and cycling events organised within the company.
I would say the cost of living and socialising in this area was average. I found it to be slightly cheeper than university.
Not very good.
There were many opportunities to get involved in activities outside work.
