The Role
This placement year was a great experience overall and it has by far exceeded my initial expectations
I was always treated as a full-fledged member of the team
Besides regular performance reviews and one-to-one meetings with my manager I was also supported in my personal development goals. I was encouraged to ask questions and my supervisors were always helpful.
I faced busy periods or more challenging tasks at times, however overall the work was pretty balanced and I have never found myself with nothing to do
The level of responsibility was growing throughout the placement year and I was getting increasingly more challenging tasks to manage
I am confident that most professional and personal skills gained during this placement will help me in the nearest future and my further career
The Company
We had regular charity activities/games/office events and everyone in the office was friendly and approachable
Placement structure was well defined; setting goals and identifying development needs initially as well as throughout the year also helped to remain on track and achieve tangible results
I received formal training essential to complete my job and had opportunities to undertake some additional development courses when I needed/wanted to
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
The environment in the office was great, it would be a great company to come back to
The Culture
The site I worked in is very small so there was only one placement student working with me
Average
There were some nightclubs/pubs in the city centre
There are definitely opportunities to get involved, although you will have to find them as it is not exactly a student city
