About You
It was enjoyable because I met many students and therefore made good friends.
The academy had 78 participants in total, so it is difficult to feel valued but PwC were very nice when required.
If you ever needed anything they would help as much as they could. Everything logistically was provided.
They had practice group exercises and practice presentations to teach you but I have attended better.
The Company
It had a very intense packed schedule from early morning till late night.
They tried to make it relaxed. There were some assessed exercises and tests where things got serious but otherwise they were very informal and relaxed.
There was a 3 course dinner with partners that gave you the opportunity to network. Practice group and presentation exercises were in place but not the best.
There was a 3 course dinner with partners that gave you the opportunity to network to learn how life at the company is but this required self commitment.
There was a 3 course dinner with partners that gave you the opportunity to network to learn the culture. We also had a more informal networking session with employees to get a sense of the culture.
Service lines were barely touched and required independent research. Networking opportunities were presented though and could be used to gain a deeper understanding.
Everything Else
They paid for all travel costs and provided accommodation and food throughout the course.
There was an informal networking opportunity with general employees and a 3 course sit down dinner with partners.
There was an informal networking opportunity with general employees and a 3 course sit down dinner with partners.
It was up to you to ask the right questions to gain this knowledge.
Can help you network with people you otherwise would not be able to. Make good friends from a diverse range of backgrounds and most importantly can lead to a summer internship offer.
