  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • It was a very family like atmosphere here at ESPN, Something i hadn't really experienced before in a working environment. Everyone was friendly and worked extremely hard to ensure that the new interns felt part of the team.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My Manager was great, i really felt as though she helped me abundantly throughout the year. She allowed me a great deal of free reign in learning new skills and developing them throughout the year. In addition to this she also took an active role in ensuring that i was developing myself as a professional through out the year.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • In the beginning, it was extremely busy, which was great. However due to circumstances out of my control and in fact also out of the company's control work came in batches. However the work i did do was great, really felt as though they allowed me to get stuck into some big projects. I do certainly wish however that there had been more work for me to do, Overall it was a pleasant experience when i did get lots of work.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Again this was made difficult by the company's position. On certain projects i was given great responsibility in my role however to an extent i felt as though perhaps very little was given on others. Overall however i felt it was a good balance of responsibility although i definitely wish i had been given more.

The training given on this job was great, i was pretty much able to train on various different software applications, which im sure i will use in future.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The company invested a great deal of time into me, giving me ample opportunity to learn new things and to test myself. I was put on an After Effects course which was great, and subsequently even offered the chance to go on a training course outside of work. They allowed me much free reign to be able to learn the software most used in the industry and develop my skills in other areas such as Final cut pro and Cinema 4D
