The Role
I loved every day... I have been inspired, coached, taught and supported all the way my placement.
I have felt valued by my colleagues at all times.
I have been inspired, coached, taught and supported all the way my placement. The whole company operates on "open-door" policy.
I had my busy days during the week (Mon-Wed) when the routine tasks had to be completed, while at the second half of the weeks I had enough time to comfortably complete tasks I was assigned to or taken on. I probably had overtime a couple of times during the year but no more than once or twice a month.
At the beginning I had less responsiblity, but as I have learned about the business, the operation of the reports and as soon my IT skills started to improve, gradually I was given more and more responsibilities.
I have improved in the following areas: IT Skills - Excel, Oracle, etc, - Presentation skills, Communicational skills, Leadership etc. I have learned about the market and industry in which the organisation operates which can be useful when later in life would apply to any manufacturing organisation. Furthermore, I have learned something every day from my colleagues. This can be anything from people skills to IT skills.
The Company
Serious work requires serious attitude at most times but friendly jokes never ended.
It was well organised.
I believe they have invested in us, placement students a great deal. We were able to take part of internal and external trainings.

Students who have undertaken a placement within the company can count on favourable judgement during the graduational scheme interviews. However; you need to prove during your placement that you are worth it and you would aim to achieve high.
The Culture
Yes, there was.
It was reasonably cheap.
Great. Being located between Leeds and Manchester, meant that could have a great night out at any time.
Yes there are such as 5 a football, badminton, dance clubs etc... Everyone can find something to get involved in.
