About You
The placement was really enjyoable due to the huge efforts everyone at the firm makes to make you feel like you really work at Nabarro for the 3 weeks. It has given me a very full picture of what normal working life is like at Nabarro.
My department seemed to take a genuine interest in me. They even invited me out for drinks outside of the many other social events the graduate recruitment team had organised.
You are assigned a supervisor, an associate and buddy, a trainee solicitor for the duration of the scheme which is fantastic support.
This vacation scheme has truly confimed my decision to pursue a career in law and has given me a very accurate picture of what life is like as a commercial lawyer.
The Company
We recieved a detailed timetable weeks in advance of the vacation scheme. This shows how much time and effort the firm really do put into this scheme.
Fantastic - Numerous social events were arranged from networking, a pub quiz to karaoke and bowling. This gave everyone on the vacation scheme a chance to really get to know each other, along with other trainees at the firm.
We were given detailed knowledge and IT training within our first week, which enables you to carry out a range of department work.
The involvement and level of work you are given really makes it feel like you are already a trainee at the firm.
Seeing how much time and effort goes into organising this scheme shows how much the firm really values trainees. Spending the entire three weeks within one department also allows you to really get to know the people there. It has confirmed it is a great firm that does high quality work, and is full of friendly and interesting people who I know would make my days at work enjoyable.
It has cemented my decision to pursue this career path and I would be extremely happy if I received a training contract offer from Nabarro.
Everything Else
I was paid well however the cost of living in London is very expensive.
There were numerous opportunties to meet people from all levels within the firm which was fantastic.
Many events were organised throughout the entire scheme.
People on the vacation scheme were always invited to outside sporting events and volunteering. They even took a few people away to Corporate Games in Coventry.
Definitely - It has been a fantastic experience and I really don't want it to end/
