About You
Really enjoyable - no day ever felt like a 'job' in the arduous sense and you're always kept on your toes. I definitely still want to be a lawyer!
Very much so. Everyone made the effort to get to know me and I was really made to feel like a future trainee
Everyone from secretary to partner had time to provide guidance wherever I needed it. Truly an open door policy
Learned a lot about the typical work of my department which will definitely assist me in my next year at law school; you also develop soft skills (team work, advocacy, time-management and organisation) which are priceless
The Company
Massive props to the graduate recruitment team - the experience was indeed seamless!
So much fun. I defintely worked hard, but played hard too. Moment I will never forget: graduate recruitment team screaming Beyonce's Single Ladies on karaoke night!
Very much so. Developed networking skills through a training session led by the business development manager, and throughout the scheme I was made to feel like an employee already
Very insightful in a positiv way. I frequently got involved with trainee and associate work and was definitely kept quite busy
Very helpful. It's possible to get an idea of a firm through an open day or assessment day but there's nothing quite like getting to know potential future colleagues across a three-week period. Verdict: everyone is super friendly!
As above, I definitely still want to be a lawyer! A lot of hard work will clearly be involved but the scheme showed me that working hard is also compensated by social events with colleagues
Everything Else
I was [will be] paid at the end of the scheme. There were also opportunities for students to be reimbursed for travel to company-related places (eg. client meetings, corporate games). Lunch and everyday travel was paid for by myself
There are at elast two or three formal opportunites per week, and you usually fill the remaining days with informal networking events.
Really good - everyone was incredibly approachable and the graduate recruitment team were great in oganising it all
Corporate Games! Nabarro also have great pro bono, external networking and volunteering/community incentives that employees can get involved in alongside daily work
Definitely. The firm has such a great culture as well as a strong reputation alongside other city law firms. Definitely shatters the presumption that city law firms are not fun places to be, because they are!
