About You
I had a great time getting to know the other students on the vacation scheme and it was a great learning experience.
I was given high quality work and introduced to different people throughout the departments.
We had lots of talks on practice areas, client relationship and training which was really helpful and the work I was given was interesting and legally challenging.
Definitely helped with my future career as it gave me an insight into a law firm as a business.
The Company
I was in two different seats and we also had a trip to Paris! Overall it was really well organised and an interesting scheme.
The general atmosphere was fantastic and I really got a sense of what a law firm was like from the insider's point of view.
I really want to work for Mayer Brown and this is solidified by my placement.
The only way to truly understand what a company's culture is like is to experience it. Very friendly but also hardworking. A perfect balance between US and UK culture.
Everything Else
Lots of partner lunches, drinks events and other networking opportunities.
Really fun, great hospitality and allowed us time to relax for a bit.
We were able to talke to trainees about their interests and even did a cycling challenge at the firm!
Yes, anyone wanting to go a top law firm which has the perfect balance of cutting edge work and supportive culture is essential.
