About You
The vacation scheme at Nabarro is brilliant. Three weeks allows a more in-depth experience than is on offer elsewhere, the work was interesting, the social events were brilliant and made even better by the other vacation scheme students,
I was given a wide range of interesting work by partners, associates and trainees at the firm. I was also taken to client meetings and included in conference calls.
Every vacation scheme student was provided with a supervisor (an associate) and a buddy (a trainee) in their department. Both my supervisor and buddy were excellent and always willing to take time to sit down and have a chat to see how I was getting on. I had no hesitation in asking them for guidance when I needed it.
We were given extensive I.T training at the start of the event, and three weeks worth of work experience has definitely improved my working and social skills.
The Company
The vacation scheme was extremely well structured. Prior to starting we were provided with a detailed schedule of what was planned for the three weeks. There was an excellent mix between insight events such as the breakfast briefings that were organised (where we were given a talk on a certain department within the firm - and a full English breakfast) and the social events after work. The graduate recruitment team have put in a huge amount of effort and it shows.
The graduate recruitment team worked tirelessly to provide us with an abundance of social events such as bowling, karaoke, pub quizzes, dinners and drinks. I also had the opportunity to play on the Nabarro football team on a weekend away. As a vacation scheme student it was brilliant to be invited to these events and get to know the people at the firm - Everyone was really friendly and easy to get along with.
I was given extensive I.T and research training at the start of the week, invited to "knowledge meetings" and challenging work.
Three weeks allows a much more in-depth view of what working life at the firm is like than a shorter period would be.
There is a very open, friendly and more than anything sociable culture to the firm.

There were loads of events attended by trainees, associates and partners including welcome drinks, the karaoke/bowling night, pub quiz and dinner with the partners.
Great.
I attended the "Corporate Games" with the firm (a weekend away to compete against other corporate firm teams)
Yes, definitely.
