The Role
Sometimes the work was a bit mundane, but there we interesting aspects too
Colleagues all very supportive and grateful for my work. Felt really integrated into the team.
Could always ask for help if needed, manager very apporachable and willing to provide coaching. Other colleagues also provided assistance
Usually always something to do. If not it was important to be proactive to find work
Was given some larger areas of the audit to do, but work was always reviewed by those more senior. Due to the short nature of my placement, I could not take on as much responsibility as I would have liked
Vealuable transferrable skills - both in a professional and a personal sense
The Company
Good, although I was not in the Gatwick office very much (I was out at the client site) the atmosphere was friendly. We did have to work hard and under pressure, so there was not much time for fun, but I did attend a social with the rest of the office, which was very enjoyable!
Very well organised - placement is part of my contract as a Gap Year Scholar, so it is an annual occurrence
Not really time to have any formal training this time (I received quite a lot during my Gap Year Placement), but informal development and coaching from colleagues
Company Parties/Events
Has a well established graduate scheme. Those that have already completed an internship with PwC have better chances of future success in employment
The Culture
No fellow placement students at the time
Fairly expensive, but lived with parents
NA
Attended 1 social
