  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • All staff were friendly and welcoming and all made an effort to get to know you.

    • All the employees made a real effort to make me feel comfortable.

    • Although the department was busy employees were all keen to help and answer any questions.

    • The work required me to use drafting skills, research skills and allowed to experience the workplace environment.

    • The structure was good with a mixture of assesments, social events and work.

    • The trainees here definitely work hard and play hard.

    • Was a weeks placement so not really applicable.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • I think that the work I was given was a good indicator of the work I would be expected do in a full time position. There were a number of presentations from trainees who gave details of the types of work done.

    • There was a good mix of social events and opportunities to talk to employees of different levels of seniority.

    • The placement was very helpful and has confirmed my intention to join the profession.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • There was £175 for the week.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • There were a number of social events with a number of different employees. Also I attended a training sminar which was also attended by clients and members of different departments.

    • The networking events were enjoyable and the social events were fun.

    • There are a number of sports teams including footbal and cricket.

    • Yes I would reccomend it to anyone who is thinking of joining the legal profession.
