  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I had a valuable insight in two departments, and because Simmons & Simmons encourage a research project it felt like I had the opportunity to sit in three departments!

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?

    • Very valued. I felt like I was looked after really well and I did not hesitate to ask questions. Especially sitting with Andrew McMillan in the corporate department whom I felt showed a geniune interest in me as a person and not just a vacation scheme student.

    • I received a lot of guidance. The trainees were helpful and made time for me when I needed it.

    • Having worked here, I have the appreciation for time managment, communication and organisational skills - all which I will in my sutdies and beyond.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • The insight from a formal and an informal aspect was very well structured. We had social events at the right time as well as the formal networking events - which are very well organised by the graduate recruitment team.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?

    • A beautiful atmosphere! The people are lovely and very approachable. I really felt like someone who is not just a means to get the work done, but an actual person with different interests who my colleagues really want to know about.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • The firm has been looking after me for a very long time. I have been mentored by associates of the firm and cannot be more grateful for the guidance they have given me.

    • A significant amount - sure I could have been given more work, but soemone at my level, I myself understand that there is only so much I can do.

    • I really would love to work here and would recommend this firm to my friends.

    • It was nice to know I'm also being paid to work here.

    • Plenty! During social events and within office hours at lunches etc.

    • The perfect amount.

    • I did - especially with the departments I had sat with. The people are friendly and like talking so it was nice to learn about their lives outside of work.
