The Role
It was a great experience, i really matured and developed as an individual and it provided me with a great insight into the working world.
Yes, colleagues really invested time into me in helping me understand new learnings. And also invited me to various external activities which was great.
At busy periods could have been further support. But day to day my manager was happy to work with me one and one to help me achieve my aims and tackle problems
At the beginning I was not very busy, but once I had received my project I was busy and had to really work hard to complete work to deadlines
I was able to manage my own project and really add some value to the company. This was great and it made me feel appreciated as It was a real responsibility.
I really matured as an individual and it really improved my ability to work with people and manage deadlines.
The Company
Very relaxed and colleagues were supportive. Open plan layout that allowed everyone to socialise and joke about whilst working.
Needed more work to do at beginning, maybe the project should have been set up in advance of my arrival.
Online training portals were the main way of learning. This was Excel based training and when I was unsure of something, team members taught me.
Subsidised/Company Gym
I would consider this organisation. The opportunities with such a global company are great and movability within the firm is also promoted.
The Culture
Yes, the interns had events organised and meals. This was done internally and externally from work.
London - very expensive. The rent was a lot considering the intern salary
London nightlife is great, so much to do and new places to see that you can't get bored.
There were a range from football, to various weekend activities. The company placed a great emphasis on socialising.
