The Role
My team and my job was very interested and enjoyable as I really got involved in our department and the products and services that Disney provide.
My colleagues were very grateful for all the work and I felt very appreciated.
My managers were very supportive and always asking if I was ok and if there were any issues. In terms of my personal development, they helped as much as they could to give me projects in areas I was interested in, i.e. marketing.
Sometimes I felt a bit bored in my job as I completed my weekly tasks quickly, but I always asked for more work, which helped.
Given a lot of responsibility as I became more confident in my role and where everything was. The extra responsibility was welcomed.
I developed many transferable skills such as managing relationships, communication skills, presentation and organisation skills. As well as this, I acquired valuable insight into the entertainment and retail industries.
The Company
Always lively and a lot of exciting and bubbly characters to brighten up the office!
Very well organised, especially with events such as 'Welcome to Disney' day where interns could help about all the different lines of businesses within the company.
Disney put a lot of responsibility into their interns, so they invest a lot into you and you get a lot back!
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
Healthcare/Dental
Depending if there is a job vacant, managers were very optimistic about future grad jobs.
The Culture
I made a lot of good friends at Disney - as there are loads of interns, it is very sociable.
As I work in central London, it is not cheap.
Hammersmith didn't have a lot of clubs, but there are a lot of bars and nightclubs in central London... about 15 mins away!
There was the odd volunteer event, but not a lot with the company. In terms of activities outside of work with the interns, there were many activities.
