The Role
I have got to do some of the most amazing things, like any job there are tough days when it's really busy but I have met some great people and gained experience that is like no other
My department is a team in the truest sense of the word, we all support each other and have a great time in the process. As an intern you are there to learn and I feel that I have been fully supported throughout the whole year.
I feel that everything I do and every task I have been given is not only explained but I am also told how it fits in to the big picture of the campaign. My managers have been happy to answer and explain any questions that I have about understanding the industry as a whole and within my daily tasks are always happy to go through something if I am unsure.
It really depends, there are days that are so incredibly busy but there are also times that are quieter. There is nothing that can be altered by management to change this, it is just the nature of the industry.
As the year went on I was given more responsibility and was able to have projects of my own.
I have learned so much this year! Everything from learning the dynamics of working in a team rather than solo uni work, working with international cultures, time management, improving my written and verbal communication.. so many skills to take forward with me!
The Company
I have been very lucky to be part of such a great team, the sense of family is really promoted and although we all work really hard there are always giggles to be had.
Warner Bros has been doing placements for a long time and therefore any creases were ironed out years ago! We have fantastic training and interns are made to feel like such an important part of the company.
We have a lot of internal training throughout the year which the department is fully supportive of. The training has provided me with skills that will be useful in any career going forward.

Warner Bros has a very low turnover rate as people don't tend to leave! (Which I guess speaks volumes for the company but means that it is hard to get in to). Also there are so many more perks that don't have a box to tick!
The Culture
There are 5 interns within my department and we are all social together but less so with the wider group. There have been all-company events when we have a great time with the other interns, and of course during training sessions, but outside of work it tended to be with the 5 interns of my immediate team.
Well I am in more of a unique situation, I lived at home in central London so I have been lucky not to have had to pay the high rent that I know others have. Socialising is expensive but only because we have tried to really make the most of being in London with my colleagues and friends.
There are some great bars and pubs in the Covent Garden area but Holborn is more of a business district.
There were charity things within work (but away from your desk) to get involved with but not so much outside of the office.
