About You
There were interactive activities and a chance to socialise as well as receive information. It was a perfect balance and very enjoyable.
Everyone from the firm was incredibly friendly, relaxed and open to speak to me.
All my questions were answered and everyone was willing to give me advice.
Considering the length of the programme, there were a lot of skills and information about being a trainee which I very much appreciated.
The Company
It was very useful to get the schedule of the day beforehand, and everything ran smoothly and for the right amount of time. I was very happy there was a lot of time allocated for lunch to get the chance to speak to everyone there.
Everyone from the firm was very enthusiastic and happy to be there, which really influenced the atmosphere.
The two major activities were focused on development of skills necessary for assessment days and being a trainee.
Given the time frame, it was more about understanding the culture of the firm which was the primary reason why I wanted to attend the Open Day. In terms of day-to-day roles, there was not too much information.
As stated above, the opportunity to meet a vast number of trainees and other staff was incredibly useful.
Incredibly valuable, as culture is a major aspect of what sets big City firms apart.
Everything Else
I had an Oyster travel card, but there was the option of being reimbursed.
I appreciated the long lunch time as that was when I could speak to most people. It was a very relaxed atmosphere with plenty of people to speak to.
As above.
There was general information about this, but not too many specific projects the firm works on.
Great way to get an insight into the firm, especially for those with no summer holidays to complete vacation schemes.
