About You
Really great when I was busy - wish I was busy more often though.
When I was given work to do it was really interesting and I felt valued, but I spent a lot of the time idle, with no work given to me even though I actively sought it.
HR did a good job of making us feel welcome and as a support team. However, in my second seat I never once spoke to my Seat Supervisor other than when I was introduced to him by my Trainee Mentor.
I got to draft witness statements and other really great, practical tasks. However, I was also asked to conduct research for a partner on one of his personal interests which I did not understand the value of.
The Company
HR were fantastic.
RPC has a great culture and most people are friendly and welcoming. However, it got a bit dull when I had no work to do, which is more often than I would like to admit.
Put together a really useful training day where summer students are briefed on various things such as IT systems and Library Resources.
The open plan office allows you to really see what is happening and what a day in the life if a trainee is like.
RPC has a great culture and it is something they really impress upon you during your time at the firm
Absolutely fantastic - they confirmed that I want to pursue law.
Everything Else
£275 pw.
Lots of opportunities to meet people from all areas of the firm, as well as the chance to meet lawyers of all seniority, from Partners to Trainees.
Great apart from minor logistical issues, eg not enough seats at a table etc.
People really encourage you to have a life outside of work here, and RPC actively supports its' employees in their pasttimes.
I loved it.
