About You
I thoroughly enjoyed this placement and would recommend it to anyone looking to find out more about a genuinely inclusive firm that is doing very well and looks set for an exciting future.
We were made to feel valued by being given real work to do not only in the departments in which we sat but also in the business development task that we undertook in groups over the two weeks.
Each student was assigned several supervisors and trainee buddies, all of which were very willing to take time out to offer advice and support.
The Company
The scheme was very well structured but I would've liked to have had a bit more time to prepare for the assessment centre which took place on the last day of the scheme.
Everyone at the firm was extremely welcoming and friendly and those of us that were on the scheme got on really well. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.
The itinerary for the scheme ensured that we were given as much time in our departments as possible. This ensured that our supervisors were able to delegate work to us in a similar way as they do to trainees while we experienced the time pressures of managing our workload alongside additional activities such as business development.
Everything Else
We had several socials with the trainees and a buffet lunch with partners, associates and other members of the firm. We also had plenty of opportunities to talk informally with other employees.
There were just the right amount of socials.
I spoke to some of the trainees about the sports clubs, the house system and also the language groups.
