  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I really enjoyed all of it and talking to different people who work at the firm.

    • I was very honoured that I was one of the chosen ones to attend the Baker & McKenzie open day.

    • Pitching exercise was quite fun. I learned a bit on how to improve on the way I present.

    • Since the open day was only for a day, I did not gain that much insight about working for the firm full-time.

    • I think the friendly culture that Baker promotes is very true.

    • I was already very clear about the career path I want to pursue before the open day. The open day at Baker confirmed what I had already known.

    • I would have been great to meet more partners and senior associates.

    • I found out about the firm's pro bono work and activities for trainees outside work.

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?

    • Definitely. I learned about the firm and put in use many skills that are important to have for a lawyer in the various exercises throughout the day. The application skills workshop was helpful not only for applying to Bakers but also other firms.
