The Role
A very friendly environment, with very smart people who were always willing to help me throughout my placement.
Having studied Statistics as my degree at Uni, I had people asking me questions from Statistics and mathematics quite often.
I constantly received support from my manager and my colleagues. Moreover, I had a mentor from a different part of the business who proved to be very helpful during my time there.
I had my own project to work on which proved to be very challenging as I had to learn new programming language in a very short period of time. Apart from my project, I also helped my coleagues with different daily activities.
It was stated from the beginning that my project is very important and the final results will be reviewed by some different government bodies. I was also involved in checking my colleague's work at some point.
I continued to work on my analytical skills, but more importantly I developed invaluable interpersonal skills that will help me succeed at uni as well.
The Company
Great atmosphere, got to sit just next to the trading floor. Buzzing.
First week was training week, and from then on we had different events every week such as presentations, speaker series, debates, training.
Very emphasised in the first week, it was much up to me to make sure I make the most out of it from then on.
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Very good prospects for the future.

Awesome. :)
Ran a semi-marathon, played basketball and poker. Opportunities to take part in a decathlon and different outdoor activities.
