The Role
I extremely enjoyed this internship, I found it to be a hugely valuable experience and would definiely recommend it!
I got on well with my team and other interns, we all gelled well and seemed to get on. I would regularly go for lunch with the team and participate in group chat with other interns.
I could ask any questions I wanted and my team would do their best to explain. My team were fairly busy so things weren't usually explained without prompting, I would have to ask, which is fine.
How busy you were depended on how much effort you wanted to put in, you were expected to hit deadlines but apart from that if you had work done you could hit the gym, grab a coffee or even head home. It was a much more chillaxed environment than I expected and my team was also younger than expected.
I was given my own project with responsibility for planning, design and construction. My team had their own project and separate responsibilities. My project was not of vital importance but it was still something that could be put to use.
I learnt a huge amount in areas from financial products to computer programming, it helped me evaluate what I want to do with my life. Some of the skills and knowledge I obtained are definitely for life.
The Company
I moved a little between two offices, one was relatively quiet (light talking, small amount of people moving around), the other was the opposite (lots of talking, large amount of people moving about). General atmosphere is the first office was chilled and relaxed, the second office had a lot more energy. I was able to work in either but had my own desk in the former.
The organisation was top notch, the only thing I could fault was the lack of information given to us at some points about what would be happening.
We received a considerable amount of training, a lot of it was not of practical use for my job which made it all the more interesting in parts

Working from home
I'm not sure I'll get a job but I would certainly love one.
The Culture
The interns were a brilliant group of people and we had a great social scene going.
Once we got paid in the second week, socialising was not a problem. I wouldn't describe it as incredibly cheap but it we certainly got a lot done.
The nightlife around the two offices was alright, there were a number of pubs we could go to but we usually had small gatherings in our apartments and went into the centre of the city.
There were a good number of social events on, usually at least one every week which meant that we saw each other pretty frequently
