About You
It was very interesting, lots of applicants attended and they had many trainees available to talk to us - many more than I usually see at events such as these so I was pleasantly surprised and happy
As mentioned previously, they had many trainees come down to chat and talk with us, lots of trainees came and went as they were available so it felt like they invested resources into us.
Lots of trainees to talk with and offer different advice pertaining to different departments they were working in - also graduate recruitment was very insightful and happy to help and be on hand.
The event was very useful in providing an insight into the capital market, explaining some technical terms in a way which was easy to understand - I am sure this knowledge will be useful later
The Company
Structured similarly to other events such as these - packed full of activities with a tight schedule - but they did cover a lot of material in a short period of time and left plenty of room for networking
Friendly, not too formal but not informal either
Difficult to tell with such a short term spent at the firm but the trainees were very good at expressing their opinion of their work and lifestyle - also met a range of trainees so had an overview
Yes, to a certain extent they did not overly promote themselves as being friendly and personable - which some firms like to emphasis - but you could see from the trainees what type of work they did
very good to see the firm and speak to the people and see whether I liked the firm and the atmosphere - was definitely more motivated to apply for future opportunities after the event
Everything Else
as stated before, we had a surprising amount of people to network with at the networking session this meant there was less competition to talk to trainees and you could meet a range of people
There were not any social events planned but the networking session acted partially as a social event - since they made it more relaxed by providing canapes and gathering everyone in one room
Yes, anyone interested in an international law firm based in the city with a stellar reputation should be looking to apply for events here - personal experience is the best point of view.
