The Role
Best Job Ever!
Everyone was very open minded and helpful throughout the whole programme.
I had a thorough mentoring process from which I gained a lot of personal skills as well as products knowledge
It is not a 9 to 5 job so someone who is interested should expect to work a little longer here and there. For me it was on average 14 hours per day which I think is pretty fair
As I advanced with my projects and showed capabilities and interest I was given more and more responsibility which I enjoyed a lot
I think finance is a pretty narrow business so I guess there are not many skills on a product basis someone could use in everyday life. Though I was lucky enough to have a thorough mentoring process which taught me skills far beyond the walls of the office
The Company
You must be aware that this business may be very stressful sometimes, but people tried to had as much fun as possible during times clients werent calling which supported the great atmosphere
HR did a really great work organizing the whole experinece - starting with the assessment center over the intern fair where you can get to know all the different desks and still during the internship with a lot of interesting events
Bloomberg access, training week, etc etc.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I think if you give 105% and show them that you want a job then everyone has a fair chance I believe
