The Role
Overall a very good experience, mainly thanks to the great supervision.
Regular meetings & feedback.
Supervisor and manager provide feedback when necessary and are always available for questions.
Lots of freedom to plan my own time, as long as deadlines are met.
I was given enough responsibility to be able to conduct my research.
Mainly thanks to my supervisor I got the chance to learn a lot.
The Company
A mix between exciting (new research) and relaxed (freedom).
Good introduction at the start of my internship.
I was given the chance to attend a conference.
Sports and Social Club
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
I would definitely be interested, and we have recently started talking about future opportunities..
The Culture
I got the feeling that there is little integration between interns of different departments.
The area is quite expensive, but this is not on Schlumberger.
Some pubs, but the main entertainment is in Oxford.
Not actively encouraged, which I would have liked, but the sports and social club provides some opportunities.
