About You
I got to sit with a senior associate and to attend to many presentations about the firm, so this was an excellent insight to the firm.
I felt valued and integrated, by some people more than others.
I received all the guidance I needed. I felt there was always someone in the firm who could help me and answer my questions.
I did tasks a trainee solicitor would do. As I am studying law and want to become a solicitor, all I did will assist me in my degree and above all beyond, when I'll be working in a law firm.
The Company
It was very structured. Every day was basically divided in two parts : one part of presentations and workshops, and one part of completing tasks for our department.
The atmosphere was really good, both with the other interns and with the team I have been working for.
The company offered me excellent training during the first week. From the middle of the second week, I did not have as much work as I used to have.
It really helped me to understand what it would be like to be solicitor, but I would have loved to sit in two different departments, as I thought I would. I would have been able to find out to what extent the work of a solicitor changes between two different departments.
It was extremely helpful.
It was very helpful but could have been more if I has sit in two different departments.
Everything Else
I was paid and offered many lunches.
We had two socials, where we could network with other trainees and the graduate recruiters. We had many presentations where we could network with associates and partners.
Great.
I found out about the Corporate Social Responsibility the employees can get involved in, I even got to do some pro bono work, shadowing a trainee at an advice session in a law centre and then writing a letter for the client we had met.
Absolutely, it is a great opportunity.
