About You
It was a very useful and enjoyable two weeks. There was a good mixture of social events and opportunities to develop skills.
I was given real work to do and people took the time to explain what they were doing to me.
People were very willing to answer questions and the trainees were very supportive.
The work I was doing was very similar to what a trainee does so it was very helpful.
The Company
Good structure with presentations every morning on each area of the firm followed by time in our team. There was also a good number of social events and lunch activities spread out across the two weeks. The presentations were quite long though and took up over an hour every morning.
Everyone was very friendly and willing to talk to me. People really made an effort to make me feel comfortable.
There were loads of presentations about the firm throughout the two weeks which were really useful.
Being given real work and sitting with the same team for two weeks meant I was able to make a good judgement about what it would be like to work at the firm.
There were a range of social events, including a few evening events with trainees and a lunch with the partners meaning we were able to meet a range of people at the firm and get a good impression of the culture.
Everyone gave a lot of advice and shared their own career experiences.
Everything Else
£250 per week.
We were taken to a comedy club and bowling with the trainees and on a Friday there were office drinks. There was also a partner lunch.
It was nice to leave the office and do some different activities.
We were given a presentation on Starfish and told in depth about how employees can get involved in this.
A very enjoyable, well structured and informative two weeks. People were very friendly and genuinely interested in talking to us.
