The Role
Golfbreaks is a young and exciting company, working alongside 20+ other placements there is always a good atmosphere around the office, balanced with work hard, play hard attitude.
There is a great community feel to life at Golfbreaks, colleagues all understand each others work and will go along way to ensure everyone achieves.
The management were very helpful in my personal and professional development throughout the year. Management were always there to lend a helping hand when needed and held regular 1-1 and team catch ups to ensure everything was running smoothly.
This was not a placement where you would simply be the teaboy. We were pushed hard to ensure targets and goals were hit, both individually and as a team.
Over the year my responsibility grew immensely. The placements were the voice of the brand and first contact point for our clients. In the final few months I was given the responsibility to be supervisor for the online team and oversaw the day to day running of the online team.
Over the year I have developed massively. Dealing with both B2C and B2B relations on a daily basis I have improved my communication and negotiation skills beyond recognition. At the start of the placement we also recieved comprehesive training specific to our job roles and were also trained in The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
The Company
With the company being young and vibrant there was always a buzz about the office.
The placement year began very well, however due to some mitigating circumstances things had to change and the plan for the year was altered. This was a disappointment, however uncontrolable.
With the initial training, regular catch ups with your manager and the responsibility you were given on the team the investment in you was noticable and worthwhile.
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
If you put the work in and adopt the 'play hard, work hard' attitude you willsucceed at Golfbreaks and with the company growing each year future employment prospects are good.
The Culture
A young group of professionals who like to have a good party when needed.
Windsor is a very affluent area. It is very nice, however does come at a cost.
Although expensive the pubs and clubs are nice in the area and you can always find something to do.
The company do hold company socials and have other events throughout the year including football, cricket and go-karting. Things go a bit quiet in the winter but definitely pick up in the nicer weather.
