    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • Useful to experience life in a single department for 2 weeks and to be immersed in the work of the team. Also I personally experienced a wide variety of work in the litigation department and felt that much of the work I did was of use to other members of the department.

    • Everyone was friendly and willing to help.

    • Really useful to have an insight into the nature of life in a large firm.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • Lots of interesting work to do as well as other tasks which came up. My placement objectives were met.

    • Clearly everyone was very busy, but still were very friendly and willing to chat about their work.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • Given plenty of training on how to use the systems, as well as printing and photocopying.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • Allowed me to decide that I would very much enjoy a career in commercial law at the Firm, and stay with the Firm for a long period.

    • Useful to see how members of the team worked together and collaborated on projects.

    • Paid a fair rate for the time spent at work.

    • Lots of time to socialise with other trainees, and good to have lunch with the partners.

    • Good events well hosted by trainees and partners.

    • Some such as Starfish, but could have been told more about sports teams etc that the Firm has.

    • Extremely useful for future career plans, and good fun as well!
