About You
Had a great time because I received some challenging work where I was required to work hard but there were also great social events going on throughout the week.
Everyone was incredibly friendly and happy to help if you needed them.
Your supervisor and buddy made sure you were ok and additionally the other trainees really looked out for you.
I got given work with high levels of responsibility and therefore learnt a lot of skills along the way of which I will be able to use on my training contract.
The Company
I knew exactly what was going, when it was happening and where it was. This made the two weeks run extremely smoothly.
Chilled out. You were never made to feel you were on a two week interview (even though you are) which meant you're able to relax and be yourself.
Trainees, associates and even partners invested time to explain things to me.
I was doing real work so it was easy to see what it would be like to work there.
By being so involved with the fee earners, I was able to see where I would fit into the firm if i were to be offered a training contract.
Excellent content as you were doing real work so you're able to experience whether you enjoy it or not.
Everything Else
Paid £250/week but I spent £100 of that on travel and lunches.
A sporting event every week with another firm.
Really relaxed and lots of wine.
I only heard from trainees because I asked them.
It's a great opportunity to see if you actually want to be a lawyer. You can easily see whether you will fit into the firm or not.
