About You
The vacation placement gave me a good insight into the work and lifestyle of a trainee and the culture and vision of the firm.
I felt this improved through the vac scheme as I was trusted with more challenging work. Though that was to be expected!
As much guidance/support as I needed (within reason).
I think it will improve my skills for other assessment days and hopefully here if I manage to secure a training contract.
The Company
It was incredibly well structured, there were practice presentations every day and social events every other day. I probably would have appreciated a couple more free days, but then we would have been able to fit everything in.
Great. The people here are amazing.
They invested a lot of time in my development in terms of presentations, meetings, etc.
Apart from the fact that some of the socials meant our events were knocked off early, I feel it was a good indication of what it would be like to work at the firm (in this department).
The presentations, socials with trainees and partners, and generally working environment really gave a good indication of this.
Not really, I'd already made my decision.
Everything Else
£500 (minus tax).
As said above, socials, lunches, bowling...
Fab.
Sports, charity events.
Yes definitely. It gave me a really good understanding of the firm's culture and vision.
